External blinds
A direction in building industry according to which the most important factor is functionality, thermal and visual comfort. Our realizations of external blinds You can find at www.sierant.com (in "Our Realizations" tab).
Construction in process
One of the installation solutions that external blinds from Sierant company provide is SS system (Self-Supporting System). It is perfect solution wherever there is no possibility to install head rail (i.e. because of thick layer of insulation or difficult access to the area above the window). External blind with SS system is installed with special guide channel consoles (A-SS console), which support the whole weight of the external blind. The size of A-SS console is adjusted to individual client’s needs.
Every kind of external blind can be equipped in guide channel or steel line (installed on the façade of the building when there is no place for installation of guide channel consoles).
The most comfortable way of external blind operation is electrical operation. In navigation system one can use weather station , which controls the movement of external blind reacting to wind strength and intensity of sunlight.
To increase the aesthetic value of every type of external blind one can use Oval System (oval shaped case and guide channels) and HAGO FIX® (way of connecting ladder cord and individual slats) for Z-90 profile, thanks to which, when the external blind is completely pulled up, ladder cord arranges evenly and isn’t pushed between the slats (which makes the package smaller).
Sick Building Syndrome (SBS)
It is a set of diseases that can be found in a specific building (like office buildings, institutions, production halls). Presence of unpleasant symptoms (headaches, fatigue, fainting, mucous membrane irritation) is closely connected to the incorrect ventilation system, lack of fresh and overheating of the interior.
Large window surfaces in office buildings, where air conditioning is most frequently installed, without correctly designed external facade, can contribute to feeling the thermal discomfort. World Health Organization informs that SBS syndrome is still present in new built and renewed buildings.
External blind installed on large facades works as an insulation that influences the correct distribution of temperatures inside and reduces the air condition workload. Between the slats and the window a thermal barrier is created (mass of air that slows down the thermal exchange. Thanks to that while the temperature outside is 35°C the temperature inside can decreased by 8-9°C.
